Not having the players graduating years on the roster, Next Sports Phenom will have to do a little investigating before adjusting rankings, however the game and talent was on point no matter the grade. The games featured some interesting matchups as we were able to see the #1 2018 player 6'2" Amira Collins do battle against #6 2017 Hunter Rowsen whose stock is on the rise as she continues to develop her midrange game at 5'11". We also got to see the two voted MVP's #1 2017 Niya Beverly go up against the black teams #18 2017 Aniyah Carpenter whose whose ranking will be rising in next weeks evaluation. #3 2017 6'2" Jaayla Henry a dominating inside player wanted to show off her perimeter skills as she didn't spend anytime mixing it up down low, she however did show her ability to hit the three pointer taking several from long range and nailing one to give her team the lead. If she can hit that shot consistently she will be a load with an inside outside package for her high school team, I still think that at this point she is more effective dominating in the paint. 2017 Lyndsey Pulliam continues to impress with her court awareness and all around skill level and I was able to see a no quit toughness from Mya Goree. NSP will be keeping an eye on Makayla Pippen as she is a very skilled and long interior defender and Necole Hope who showed good slashing ability. Hannah Franklin is a NSP favorite and I liked the fact that she and Morgan Jacobs looked for ways outside of scoring to help their teams. I definitely saw the potential in Taysha Bender and Ja'lyn Armstrong, I'd like to see both in regular games with their teams as they began to heat up when it was close to substitution time. Yasmine Lewis showed a no fear attitude on both ends and was willing to look for her offense. Tylea Galloway a slick lefty with nice shooting form another player I'd like to see more.
